Are you looking for something different in your wedding? A themed wedding might be just the ticket! As a farm wedding venue, most of our weddings are rustic, country themes — some simple, some elegant, but we are starting to see a trend where couples want to combine something they both love into their wedding.
This fall will be our first Renaissance wedding and I am very excited — what fun! I’ve been pinning ideas and digging through my Renaissance Fair pictures with the couple to come up with ideas. It was interesting that our couple plans to get married in the “round” instead of the traditional rows of guests. I think that will work great with our rustic benches. My handy husband was all in planning thrones for pictures before they left their farm tour and as the door closed I was digging out my patterns!!!
Over a glass of wine that night, husband and I looked at each other and realized we have room and the place for other kinds of themed weddings. We were almost giddy thinking of doing Civil War or Rendezvous re-enactment weddings — fun, fun fun….
In researching fun ideas for themed weddings I found just about every kind of wedding theme you could image and of course Pinterest has a tons of ideas!

I love these. I’ve been to a few. And I’m wondering if I make it to 25 years if it’s time to have my own 🙂 we got married for $10. Justice of the peace. Done. But it may be time to change it up 🙂

How fun would that be for a renewal of vows party!

I’ve seen these kinds of weddings, but they weren’t doing those 25 years ago when I got married. I think it would be a ball to attend one though. How exciting for you to get to plan it!

Why not? I got married in my best friend’s apartment with just my immediate family present (his boycotted our wedding). It would be nice to do something like this – maybe for our 45th or 50th wedding anniversary.

So what theme would you go with?
