How a Foodie Honeymoon in Tuscany Can Create a Lifetime Bond…

One of my favorite proverbs is “Laughter is brightest in the place where the food is.”  We bond around food, whether it is around the family dinner table, a campfire, a potluck, an elegant restaurant or the local truck stop.  Food brings us together; it not only nourishes the body but the soul.

Sure a honeymoon on a beautiful beach, drinking and sleeping in sounds great, but a food adventure honeymoon in Tuscany a perfect way to start or reignite your relationship. Learning how to make fresh pasta, hunting truffles together in hilly areas, along riverbanks, in shady valleys, shopping the food markets, tasting cheeses, wines, and romantic dinners in tiny local restaurants will help you discover what brings you together. A foodie honeymoon can be a beautiful adventure where you will create warm memories, shared discoveries and a lasting bond for your future tables.

Couples who eat and cook together communicate more and at a higher level than those couples that end up in the livingroom using TV trays and watching a compromise show that neither really likes. They tend to be more present and interact with each other around their shared experience.

Cooking and working together to prepare a meal that you both enjoy is a wonderful way to learn about each other — even after years together you may be surprised at what you can learn about each other attempting to make ravioli together!

I am excited to share this amazing trip to Tuscany with America’s Test Kitchen exploring the best of the best of Tuscany with you for your honeymoon or just to reignite your relationship.
