Saturday’s All For Love Bridal Show in Clear Lake, Iowa was like getting to be in an episode of “Say Yes to the Dress” — which is I secretly binge watch after my husband has gone to bed. So much fun! I had a great time at my table visiting with participants at my table, but the highlight of the day was watching the fashion show put on by Bliss Bridal and Formalwear. Unfortunately the men’s wear from Moorman Clothier’s got hung up miles away in the snow storm on Friday. Bummer.
I did notice a couple of trends that I love — lots of gorgeous, romantic lace and fewer strapless dresses. Thank you Kate Middleton who had sleeves in her dress! There were many that would perfect for a rustic country wedding here on our farm, but one of my favorites was a tea length dress in a classic ’50’s style big skirt. So cute!
So thanks to the magic of smart phones and instant video I’ve edited down an overview version of the fashion show –it’s about 10 minutes and the light was a little tricky at some points, but I did try to catch the major features of most of the dresses. I hope you enjoy. Thanks again to Bliss Bridal and Formalwear for a wonderful show.
Of course I am going to also make you look at my table from the show first! So here are some photos of my table at the show. The video is posted at the bottom of the post with a list of links to all of the vendors who participated. Thanks Nanci Elder of Inspire Marketing, 98.7 KISS Country and FOX 103.7 , David Huber at Talent Machine Inc. for presenting this lovely event. I am sure I missed someone who helped so may apologies if I’ve missed you.

Love the 50’s full skirt. I really like that many gowns now have straps. I have seen way too many brides shimming up their tops all reception long!

That is my favorite one too — too many trying to keep the girls in place with those strapless gowns. Thanks!

All the dresses were pretty, but that little flower girl was adorable! Your table was amazing and gorgeous!

Thanks Rena — yes, I think the flower girl was the star of the show!
